All about the Pug

Pugs have been bred for centuries. As early as the 16th Century the breed had arrived in Europe from China. Pugs were also all the rage in Victorian England and can be spotted in many paintings from that time.

The Pug has most likely never been bred as a working dog. The friendly, loyal and goofy dog we know today has always been a great companion. Considered a very smart breed, Pugs make a wonderful pet for any household. A pug will be happy as a couch potato but will also enjoy camping, boating, hiking and anything else his human family is doing! Pugs generally get along well with other dogs, humans and animals.

A pug is one of the most loyal companions you will have the pleasure bringing into your family. Unconditional love, a goofy personality and stunning looks make the pug a hugely popular breed

Being a brachiocephalic or “short nosed” breed of dog a Pug will keep you laughing with their snoring, smile, and oversized tongue.
